Jonah McKay Greenhalgh

I can't believe my baby is here and that it has taken me so long to blog about it! He is absolutely amazing. Even when he is up every 2 hours at night and when he wants to be held while he sleeps. I love him with all that I am. He is such a blessing to our family. I will share my birth story. My apologies if you have already heard this.

I was scheduled to be induced on my actual due date (august 8) at 9 PM. That morning the hospital called me and they had an opening for an induction! Obviously I was going to take it. We quickly got all our things together and arrived within 20 minutes! I was so excited to have this babe!

9 AM I was admitted.

9:30 AM We started Pitocin. I was having mild contractions. Nothing crazy.

10:30 Dr. Huish broke my water

Every half hour pitocin was increased.

By 5 PM my contractions were so awful. I cried through all of them. The anesthesiologist came in and I got the epidural. I know I wanted to try it natural but by 5 o'clock i was only at a 4! A 4?! Are you serious!? The pain was nothing i could have prepared for.

After the epidural i was finally able to relax and my body started dilating a little faster. Around 10 pm i was fully dilated and ready to push.

I pushed for a hour and a half! It was by far the hardest thing i have ever done. It was amazing and totally worth it.

Jonah McKay was born at 11:58 pm. Fifteen hours of labor and my beautiful baby was finally here. He came in weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 in long and absolutely perfect.

We are still deciding who he looks like. I think you can tell he is an Adams baby. A lot of people say he looks like Kyle.

I have waited for this for so long. I love everything about being a momma. He is perfect! I love him so much, even when he wakes up every 10 min ALL night long. This is such a blessing. Jonah has such a sweet spirit and brings joy to our family.

He is almost 6 weeks old now! He is definitely Mr. Smiley. He loves his momma and his food!

I have a ton of pictures i need to post but this stupid blogger is not letting me upload them. SO i will try another time.

Those pictures I promised..

Well some of them! Enjoy!

Follow Your Heart It's Never Wrong

I suppose it's been awhile since I last blogged. We are just living this fabulous life of working and trying to prepare for sweet baby boy.

The week before memorial weekend we went to the lake with Kyle's parents and Lexi and her kiddos. It was a blast and the water felt wonderful.

Memorial weekend the Greenhalgh's got to go to Mexico. We had to miss out this year, maybe next year. This year my sister Natalie came down from Idaho. I love when all my family is together. It's crazy and wonderful all at once.

Our sweet baby boy is growing so much and I couldn't be happier. I love this little baby! We still don't have a single thing (well plenty of clothes) but my shower is tomorrow and I am beyond excited! I have less than 7 weeks left and so much going on between now and then. We are hastily putting money away so that I will be able to stay home and the stress of making ends meet won't be so... stressful. Staying home is very important to me. I want to be able to raise my children and not have to spend 7-9 hours a day away from them. Money is not that important. SO in excitement to have this baby there is also excitement in no more work!!

I have a ton of pictures so I will do a complete post of pictures. Here is a picture of us from Easter, only because a post is simple not a post without a picture!

You've Got My Heartbeat Running Away!

I know it's been awhile since my last post. We don't have internet right now and I don't have the patience to try this on my phone. So while Kyle and I are babysitting my nieces and nephews, ( they are all in bed, all 5 of them) I am blogging :).

Most of you have probably been wondering how baby squirtle is. He is just perfect. He is active and healthy. He makes us so happy. We love this little guy and are so excited to meet him. It feels like such a long time, but 12 weeks is going to fly by. The first 28 did and I have so much going on until then. I love being pregnant! I love watching my belly move and feeling his kicks and twirls. My pregnancy has really been so easy.

For mother's day Kyle had flowers sent to the house before I could even say anything. He had the card signed "Dad and Squirtle". I really love that guy! I also bought myself a Willow Tree figurine. It was a good first mother's day. Next year will be better with baby boy here! EEEK!! so excited!!

Here is my baby belly at 28 weeks!! Crazy I know! I am so blessed to have this opportunity and to have such a healthy baby!

Happenings..

Well not a lot has been happening. My belly is growing more and more. I'm beginning to think he is running out of room. I don't have a recent belly picture but I will take one next week around my 24 week Dr. appointment. We also have an ultrasound and I am super excited to see this little guy again.

We got our tax return and I convinced Kyle I need a new camera so that when Baby Boy comes I will be able to take frame worthy pictures. He shopped around and got a good deal on a Nikon D3100. I am still learning but I have time annnd there is always photoshop. Here are some randoms that we took, Hannah played too.

Baby Blaze. Seriously so cute. Momma in her birthday apron. She loves anything cow.
Mommas birthday flowers.
The pudgy-ist hand. Adorable.
Can you believe he is only 6 weeks?! He is such a tank!
Oh Goat-Goat.
How precious is this?! I love her.
Lady. Or Dumbo. Cause she is rully dumb.
Hannah and Bake. Our models for the night.

Mommas Aren't Always Right

It's a boy! I fully believed it was a girl. Oh well, maybe next time. I love this little guy so much. I love that I can call him a boy instead of a girl. Kyle is really excited. He will finally get the wrestling partner I never want to be :). We have no idea what his name will be. Absolutely no idea. We have time.
Little misters face. I didn't think you wanted to see his boy parts so you get to see his alien looking face. We love it all the same.
AND the Momma. Finally a belly picture at 18 weeks. I think I just look fat. If you didn't know i was pregnant you would think the same.
